pepperpot504Trying to get the hang of Thursday...
Although those who stayed in the path of the storm are really having a hard time to get the hang of today. Hubby and I were watching the feed from a station in the Tampa Bay area to keep tabs on things. When the roof ripped off of the Tropicana field I let out a "HOLY FUCK" since I didn't think that could happen. Also saw footage of a construction crane falling.

On a plus side Chad's family are safe so I'm relieved.
This whole thing has been triggering the memories of Katrina. I talked with a woman who told me she didn't know if she'd have anything when she'd return.
Another woman told me how it was surreal to choose the most important and irreplaceable items to bring. All of a sudden I was brought back to that strange time a little over 19 years ago.
I sat in the dining area and just processed those memories yesterday . Wow..
However I'm grateful to hear my family made it through.
